[Vintage Wooden Bead Halterneck]
This halterneck was made using SEHIKYO’s halterneck top pattern as a base. I wanted to create a piece that contrasted slightly with CEIMOU’s more linear silhouettes, and worked with the idea of how the two garments might interact when worn together. I particularly enjoyed seeing how the shape of the halterneck became more pronounced when layered over CEIMOU’s garments, creating a different silhouette from when it is worn on its own.
I used 100% cotton fabric sourced from a second-hand fabric shop in Tokyo, which had arrived there in a small quantity. The entire garment is made from two layers of fabric, giving the otherwise lightweight material a slightly firmer feel.
Vintage wooden beads are threaded onto the strings. The beads can be repositioned vertically as desired, while the strings can be tied or wrapped around the body in different ways. I enjoyed the way the position of the beads and the overall appearance of the garment change depending on how it is worn.
[빈티지 우드 비즈가 달린 홀터넥]
이 홀터넥은 세히쿄의 홀터넥 탑 패턴을 기반으로 제작했습니다. Ceimou의 직선적인 실루엣과는 조금 다른 형태의 옷을 만들고 싶었고, Ceimou의 옷과 함께 입었을 때 두 옷의 실루엣이 자연스럽게 대비되는 모습을 생각하며 작업했습니다. 특히 Ceimou의 옷 위에 홀터넥을 겹쳐 입었을 때, 평소와는 다른 방식으로 홀터넥의 형태가 드러나는 점이 재미있었습니다.
도쿄의 중고 패브릭 숍에 소량으로 들어온 면 100% 원단을 사용했고, 전체를 두 겹으로 제작했습니다. 원단이 얇지만 두 겹이 겹쳐지면서 조금 더 단단한 느낌이 납니다.
스트링에는 빈티지 우드 비즈를 꿰었습니다. 비즈는 원하는 위치로 옮겨 수직으로 배치할 수 있고, 스트링을 묶거나 몸에 둘러서 착용할 수도 있습니다. 입는 방식에 따라 비즈의 위치와 옷의 모습이 달라지는 점을 재미있게 생각하며 만들었습니다.
